Quick Start Guide

• Drawing in 3D: Use your Apple Pencil to draw strokes. Unlike other apps, you do not need a canvas. Simply start drawing!
• The OmniJoystick: While drawing, use your other thumb on the joystick to move your stroke closer or further away (Z-depth).
• Changing Materials: Tap the "Materials" icon in the sidebar to switch between Bristol, Foil, Cardboard, and more.
• Exporting: Tap the "Share" icon to export your creation as a USDZ (for AR), an OBJ (for 3D software), or a high-quality video tour.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Why isn't my Apple Pencil responding?

Make sure your Apple Pencil is paired and charged. 3D Paper Studio is optimized for Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) and Apple Pencil Pro. Check your iPad settings under "Apple Pencil" to ensure it is recognized by the system.

2. How do I draw "on top" of another object?

The app uses a Magnet System. If you bring your pen close to the edge or endpoint of an existing stroke, you will feel a haptic "click" and see a blue indicator. The new stroke will automatically snap to and align with the existing geometry.

3. My 3D scene is lagging. What can I do?

3D Paper Studio is a high-performance engine. If you have hundreds of complex strokes, try the following:

• Close other background apps.
• Lower the "Subdivision" setting in the Tool Properties to reduce mesh complexity.
• Ensure your iPad is not in "Low Power Mode," which can throttle the GPU.

4. How do I view my model in AR?

Export your project as a USDZ file. Once exported, you can open the file in the "Files" app or share it to another device, and it will automatically open in the iOS AR Quick Look viewer.
